Soxton: Brand Anthem


Challenge

Soxton needed to announce itself as a fundamentally different kind of law firm—one built for the speed of startups, not the pace of tradition. Founded by Logan Brown, a Harvard Law–trained attorney and Marshall Scholar, Soxton faced the challenge of establishing credibility in a conservative industry while signaling its radical AI-powered approach. How do you position a law firm that moves at startup velocity without losing the gravity that legal matters demand?

Approach

We identified the core tension that would drive the narrative: startups move fast, law doesn't. This paradox became our creative foundation. Rather than choose sides, we decided to inhabit the collision point—where urgency meets precedent, where innovation challenges institution. We wrote every word of the script to capture this duality, balancing gravitas with wit, tradition with disruption.

Execution

We designed a visual system built on three layers of contrast:

Typography as Architecture: We created a motion structure where type doesn't just communicate—it builds and rebuilds, mirroring how startups iterate in real-time. The typography unified brand and product, making Soxton's interface feel cinematic and their cinema feel functional.

Nature's Speed Language: We drew from the natural world's fastest adapters—falcons in dive, octopi shapeshifting, electrons jumping orbits. These became visual metaphors for founder velocity, creating a pulse that drives the film forward with organic urgency rather than mechanical speed.

Law's Iconography, Disrupted: Classical legal symbols got reimagined—columns fracture with data streams, Lady Justice emerges from shadow and code, scales balance in three dimensions. These motifs honor law's foundation while breaking its visual conventions.

Results

The brand anthem established Soxton as the definitive legal partner for high-velocity startups, generating immediate market recognition and client inquiries from venture-backed companies. The film's unique visual language became the foundation for Soxton's entire brand system—from website to pitch decks—creating a consistent narrative that differentiates them in every touchpoint. Within three months of launch, Soxton secured partnerships with leading accelerators and became the go-to legal resource for AI and emerging tech startups.
